Trail Reports & Maps

Thanks for a great season at Log Cabin!
April 9, 2026 (final report of season)
DYEA/SKAGWAY TRAILS
Recent rains have flooded the lower West Creek trails. Up West Creek road may be okay for a while but mushy.
We have wrapped up grooming at Log Cabin for the season, but there’s still good skiing up there on the trails and one more non-motorized weekend April 17-19. The railroad tracks will be plowed soon, so watch out for choo-choo traffic. BIG shout out and thanks to our TRAIL CREW VOLUNTEERS. Happy Spring everyone!
Reminder to all: the Log Cabin Ski Trails are designated for Cross-Country Skiing Only for the safety of everyone – no snow machines on trails please! The Log Cabin Ski Trails are part of Recreation Sites & Trails BC and are maintained by our Log Cabin Ski Society volunteers from Skagway and the Yukon. The parking lot is on Parks Canada land, and outhouses in the winter are maintained by LCSS.

****
We are based on the ancestral Lingit land of the Lḵoot peoples in Skagway, Alaska, and the ski trails that we manage at Log Cabin pass through the traditional territory of the Carcross Tagish First Nation and occur on lands managed by Recreation Sites & Trails B.C. and Chilkoot Trail National Historic Site (Parks Canada). Please honor and respect these traditional lands.
